Stan has over 25 years of experience in the non-profit sector involving youth mentoring, administration, and collaborative partnerships. He is a Life Member of 100 Black Men of America. He has held leadership positions to include President of the South Metro Atlanta Chapter, and currently is a National Board Member who serves as the Georgia District Representative. Stan also serves a Vice Chair of the Jordan D. Savage Foundation, named after his son, the late Jordan D. Savage. The organization operates in the Health and Wellness space, bringing awareness to Lupus and providing opportunities to deserving athletic scholars in the metro Atlanta area. He has held additional non-profit roles with the United Way of Metro Atlanta as Advisory Board Member in the South Fulton area.

Stan is a law enforcement veteran of 30 plus years. He attained command level status in the Atlanta Police Department with specialized expertise in tactical operations, communications, special events, and crime prevention. He has a vast amount of experience in the professional sports industry; having worked with MLB, the NBA, the NFL, and the NHL across a number of security and executive protection platforms. He currently serves the NBA Atlanta Hawks as Senior Director of Parking, Traffic Management and Security Ops.

His professional acumen also includes security and logistics consulting for the late Congressman John Lewis, consultant to the City of Atlanta, the City of Talladega Alabama, Duncan Solutions, and several other organizations.

He has received numerous awards, honors and accolades in the aforementioned areas.

Stan is a native of Jackson,Tennessee and migrated to Atlanta, where he attended Morehouse College, Brenau University, The University of Louisville, and Columbus State University. He currently holds a BA in Public Administration from Brenau University, and an MPA from Columbus State University.  He is also a graduate of the prestigious America’s Leaders for Change Program by the National Urban Fellows.

Stan currently resides in metro Atlanta with his daughter and 2 grandsons. He enjoys golfing, motorcycling and RV visits to various state parks.
