Clean Carl is the past president and immediate past chairman of the board for 100 Black Men of Chicago, Inc. He is also managing partner of Integrating Green Technologies (IGT2030), which provides advanced sustainability solutions focused on using integrative design approaches to optimize people-oriented health and wellness inside working and living spaces. Carl comes from the new breed of strategy minded sustainable development problem solvers, who continue to advise and implement forward thinking air and water quality technologies while helping to address the Social Determinants of Health (SDoH). One of his flexible SDoH platforms includes ‘100 Build My Future 2030 (100BMF2030), which serves as a catalyst for educational advancement, capacity building and workforce skills development. 100BMF2030 helps to clear pathways for under represented youth and their families so they can participate in the overall economy. In his leadership roles at IGT2030 and 100 Black Men of Chicago, Carl directs and executes performance driven results within community-level stakeholder engagements. His creative approaches focus on human-behavior as he advances the nexus of innovation and coordination between non-profit, for-profit and government
funded initiatives.
Prior to founding IGT2030, Carl created dynamic results oriented outcomes for McDonald’s Corporation. Over his 25-year career at McDonald’s, Carl established himself as a seasoned, hands-on executive well known for his ability to “execute” and drive the implementation process of various corporate strategic initiatives. His extensive business knowledge includes operations, accounting, finance, franchising, and purchasing. Over the years he has provided
leadership and direction to optimize long term sales and profit potential for company owned restaurants and franchise operators across the U.S.

- Accelerated cross disciplinary collaboration between our 100BMoA public health experts and building architects and engineers to begin closing the knowledge gaps by organizing the first annual Health and Wellness Symposium (April 2023).
- Identifying the STEM opportunities for our students as these professions continue to transform under the ‘New-Normal’.
Currently focused on Resource Development, Collegiate 100 Support, Mentoring Academy Site Expansion and a strategy to build upon the vision of 4 For The Future for 100 Black Men of America.

Accomplishments and Milestones
- Increased 100BMC membership 60% prior to the pandemic.
- Expanded mentoring academy sites from 1 to 4.
- 2016 Awarded as a Gold Star Award Recipient by Mentor Illinois
- National Chapter of the Year 2018 and 2021
- University of Chicago Core Award winner in 2021
- Increase compliance capacity for our chapter’s procedures and protocols for Form 990 reporting and
- timely our completion of audited financial statements.
- Established Collegiate 100 Chapter at the University of Illinois-Chicago Campus in 2014
- Provided hands-on assistance and attended to the 2022 Collegiate 100 National Conference

Helped lead, guide and execute strategies for our 100BMC Annual College Scholarship Fair
- Expanded students attendance from 1,500 in 2013 to over 4,000 in 2019
- Since its inception in 2005, our College Fair has awarded over $100 million in scholarships to deserving students and their families.
Expanded annual attendance for the Annual Holiday Toy Drive
- Attendance grew from 800 to 2,200 representing a 175% increase over 2016-2019 reaching our peak of 2,200 in 2019.
- Our Toy Drive resumed in 2022 and demand was stronger than ever.
Organized and participated in our annual Nissan Motor Corporation site visit, Franklin, Tenn.
- Resume Writing Challenge since 2015 providing STEM experiences for high school mentees.
- Over the years, 62 mentees have benefitted from the experience.
- In 2022, one of our mentees was awarded a paid summer internship.
Helped facilitate the creation and strategic launch of the Los Angeles Chapter’s Annual College Fair (2018).
“COVID19 A Black Perspective” April-May 2020, a 9 Week Awareness Program
- To address the hot spots of COVID in the black community and its greater impact compared to other cultures in Chicago.
- We engaged scientists, doctors, educators, community leaders and public officials to better inform and protect families during the beginning stages of the pandemic.
Started the 100BMC bi-annual blood drive collaboration with the American Red Cross
- Our first event 4 years ago collected 25 pints of blood. In January 2023, we collected 143 pints of blood.
